Healing chronic pelvic pain:

A journey from helplessness

to empowered liberation

with Julia Dyer

Mission

Ponderosa Prana is an homage to my physical and spiritual roots here in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. A culmination of deep self study, rigorous practice, and many life challenges, my mission is to share the timeless, sage wisdom of those who were the great seekers of highest truth that came before us. Classical Tantra offers us tools and techniques that support us to live in alignment with our highest self, and, our highest purpose. Tantra, as a sacred science, provides wisely sequenced, carefully laid out methodologies that aim to achieve specific goals, while guiding the practitioner toward stepping into their personal power. I hope for human beings from all of walks of life to find deep healing and a new sense of purpose through the timeless wisdom of Classical Tantra.

Ponderosa Prana is also an homage to the vital life force that lies within the sacred womb space of all women. Focusing on Pelvic and Sexual health woven with Classical Tantra, Ponderosa Prana aims to be a beacon of hope and healing for the wounding that many women experience in relationship to their sacred womb space. Offering support, resources, classes, and Women’s Health Journey Coaching, Ponderosa Prana is a community that honors the divine feminine, and reminds all human beings of our own capacity to be an instrumental participant in their own healing.

Every human being has potentials for healing. The healing energy is flowing without any interruption in every human heart. By the right use of the dynamic will, these channels of healing energy can be directed to the suffering part of the body and mind. The healing energy can nourish and strengthen the sufferer. The key to healing is selflessness, love, dynamic will, and undivided devotion to the Lord within.”

About Julia

Julia Dyer is a Nevada County local, a Yoga teacher, and a Community Herbalist. She believes that Yoga truly is for everyone, and anyone. She strives to provide people from all walks of life with the tools and techniques needed to build a strong foundation for personal success in both life and health, and to forge a path for ultimate transformation while celebrating each unique and authentic aspect of every individual. She has gained a deeper understanding of the importance of optimal structural alignment through her work as a physical therapy assistant in a chiropractic office, which has in turn furthered her ability to safely assist students in yoga practice into proper alignment.

Julia grew up in Nevada City, CA, a small gem of a town nestled away within the Ponderosa pine trees. She studied at The Wild Temple School of Yoga and Herbal wisdom with Brooke Sullivan, diving into over 500 hours of training in Classical Tantra and Hatha Yoga. She has also studied with Herbalist and Ayurvedic Practitioner Amy Branum at the Northern California School of Botanical studies, receiving certification as a Community Herbalist. In addition, Julia is a certified life coach through The World Coach Institute.

Yoga found Julia in Summer of 2016, on a snap decision to attend a weekend retreat in Shasta, CA, which is where her journey truly began. Between that first sweet taste of transformation and now, she has found a deep passion for teaching and sharing the magic and living wisdom of Yoga, plants, and steady goal attainment coupled with guiding others to develop a strong sense of holistic self-awareness.

In Julia’s yoga classes, she offers Classical Hatha yoga poses, Tantric techniques, simple breath work, visualization, meditation, sacred use of sound, poetry, shamanic drumming and Yoga Nidra to remind people what true calm feels like within the body. She hopes to guide people toward gentle self reflection while creating awareness around practices and positive daily habits that drive an individual toward their deepest intuitive, inner knowing. She strives to remind people of their personal power over their health and well-being and their ability to achieve their optimal capacity for true healing in mind, body and spirit.

In Julia’s coaching sessions, she supports and mentors women who are on the sacred path of healing. Pulling from her many years of personal experience with chronic pelvic pain, she aims to assist and support women with navigating and clearing the obstacles on their own healing journey, becoming a self-advocate, building self-compassion, and setting and maintaining manageable goals that help women to continue moving forward on their path of healing.

Women’s Health Journey Coaching

What is Women’s Health Journey Coaching?

Women's Health Journey Coaching aims to be supplemental support to women who are currently in, or ready to begin their journey of healing. Working with a coach is supplemental support because it is not an adequate replacement for a licensed therapist, or any other medical professional. Instead, working with a coach can be helpful for identifying challenges and obstacles on your healing journey, for setting manageable goals on your path of healing, and for experiencing compassionate accountability so that you can remain “on-track” on your healing path, while creating more space for ease.

What to expect during a women’s health journey coaching session

ॐ Identify challenges and obstacles on your healing journey

ॐ Learn how to “check-in” with yourself using techniques from

Yoga, Meditation, and Classical Tantra

ॐ Set manageable goals + intentions for your healing journey

ॐ Create a plan for your healing journey and execute it

> Schedule necessary medical appointments

> Seek mental health support

> Create your network of support

ॐ Experience compassionate accountability to help you meet your

goals

ॐ Work with your nervous system: learn stress management

techniques:

> Yoga

> Breathwork

> Guided meditation

> Visualization

> Herbal + Ayurvedic support

ॐ Integrate a self-care routine

ॐ Cultivate self-compassion

Who is Women’s Health Journey Coaching for?

Women's Health Journey Coaching is for any woman who is seeking extra support along their journey of healing. To list a few, some common experiences among women’s healing journeys are pelvic pain and other women’s health conditions(often undiagnosed), sexual dysfunction, and difficulties with intimacy. All medical conditions and mental health disorders must be monitored and treated by a medical or mental health professional, however, navigating the pathways on the journey to healing can be both difficult and over-whelming, especially in the midst of a present medical condition or mental health difficulties. Women’s Health Journey Coaching can help bring more ease and support into your sacred journey of healing.

Addiction & Mary Magdalena as Deep Teachers

Week of March 18th, 2024

Stepping into my authenticity in the realm of full-on embodiment has been an incredibly uncomfortable experience for me. I haven’t known what to write. I want to write, so deeply. I love to write, so dearly. I don’t want to say what I think others want to hear. I want to speak of the raw experiences happening within all of us: in the hope that we may continue to see that as we do connect with one another through our shared hardships, we also connect through our shared joy, bliss, beauty, and sacred revelations.

Fo myself, discomfort has turned from a nuisance to a certain sort of nurturance. When I allow myself to be present within moments of discomfort, I am in turn nurtured by that which I typically turn away from quicker than I pull my hand away from a hot flame. And that flame.. it’s the tapas.. it’s the work.. it’s the deep teacher.. and the insatiable transformative sacred element.

So precious to me is my own knowing of what it is to be an addict.

So precious to me is my own knowing of the experience of surrounding my entire being with shame because I chose substances over the people that I love.

So precious to me is my own knowing of the feeling of pure disorientation among the stark dichotomy between the shadow that overtakes the addict and the light that illuminates the addict who chooses the path of healing.

Most call it recovery, I think of it more as ‘coming back to the light’. If you’ve been in a dark room for days, months, or even years, turning on the light is BLINDING.

I can see again. What I see ranges from rainbows and butterflies to the parts of myself that I always prayed would never awaken. Greed. Jealousy. Insatiable self-interest. Unwillingness to speak truthfully.

Yeah, I could spend years reprimanding myself, and at times, that feels a bit easier than standing on my own two feet to honor that… Yeah, I went there. I got greedy. I set my desires to tower over my own well-being. I told lies. I deceived. I wanted what I wanted, and I wanted it NOW.

Or, I can stand on my two feet, in the shadow, and surround myself with light, love, and a swirling galaxy of self-acceptance. I can know that some of my choices have caused a domino effect of suffering for others, ground myself in accountability, and know too that these same choices have become some of my deepest teachers.. lovingly whispering to me: “you made these choices, but you are not these choices”.

Flo Aeveia Magdalena writes, “I was exhausted. And I rested in the only place I know - in that void within - that aloneness. It carried me and I went, unresisting. It carried me, and I went. We traveled, and I let go and surrendered, and I went. I began to feel no-thingness around me, the place of the void, enclosing in on me, and, ultimately to my surprise, supporting me. I relaxed into the place of no-thing. I GREW and I EXPANDED.”(I Remember Union: The Story of Mary Magdalena, Magdalena, 1996, p. 78-79).

Dare to be unapologetic in your self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self love. Apologize to those you’ve harmed, and also apologize to yourself, for you’ve just invoked the aspect of honesty that takes an incredible amount of bravery: your ability to speak the truth.

Deep reverence to you, my wise teachers.

Each and every one of us are love.
